SACRAMENTO – A bill by Senator Hannah-Beth Jackson (D-Santa Barbara) to ensure basic consumer privacy and security protections for internet-connected toys and devices, believed to be the first of its kind in the nation, is now moving through the Legislature. Today at 11: 30 a.m., Jackson, the author of Senate Bill 327, will be joined by Jim Steyer, CEO of Common Sense Media, as they present some of the worst and best children’s toys and home devices when it comes to privacy, cybersecurity and children’s safety.
