This event will highlight key partnerships and their local and statewide efforts to bridge the digital divide in rural, low income communities. Frontier Communications’ installation of Public Wi-Fi Hot Spots has provided the residents of Villa Hermosa with much needed internet connectivity. This location is one of six sites where Frontier has deployed free Public Wi-Fi in the Coachella Valley. This year, Assemblymember Garcia has spearheaded legislation to further expand broadband opportunities in remote, difficult to serve areas throughout California.
